Rachel Wolpert Bitter is a Chief Attorney at Maryland Legal Aid, specializing in representing children in child welfare cases and tenants' rights. She graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law and holds a degree in Psychology and Sociology from Franklin and Marshall College, earned in 2001. Rachel is an active member of the Talbot County Bar Association and the Kent County Bar Association. Her previous experience includes working with youth in Baltimore City through a mentoring and advocacy organization. Rachel's work is driven by her commitment to ensuring all community members live with dignity, equality, and justice. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and dog around local creeks, watching soccer, spending time with her nieces and nephews, and baking.
