Ranak Jasani joined the Maryland Legal Aid Board of Directors in 2024. In 2020, Ranak joined the Legal Department for Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. where she is currently Senior Corporate Counsel, Antitrust & Investigations. Previously, Ranak was a Principal with the law firm of Miles & Stockbridge, where her practice included commercial litigation and antitrust counseling, and she co-chaired the Miles Minority Network. She began her legal career with Whiteford, Taylor & Preston. At both firms, Ranak was actively engaged in pro bono service and championed diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives in the legal community. Prior to law school, Ranak worked for a division of Wolters Kluwer, as Senior Publishing Editor in Business, Economics and Policy. Ranak presently serves on the MSBA Judicial Appointments Committee, and has supported access to quality childcare, education, financial literacy and work readiness as a Board Member of Downtown Baltimore Child Care, Inc., Samuel Ready Scholarships, Inc., and previously Junior Achievement of Central Maryland, Inc.
