Brian Hochheimer joined the Maryland Legal Aid (MLA) Board of Directors in 2014 and became Board President in 2023.  Previously, he served on the Finance and Executive Committee and as Chair of the Board for the Maryland Center for Legal Assistance, an MLA subsidiary. Brian retired in 2021 from The Emmes Corporation in Rockville where he was Chief Financial Officer since 2005. Prior to that, he served in various capacities as CFO, Senior Finance Executive and General Counsel at Bearing Point, Inc., Birch & Davis Associate, Inc. and the Barents Group LLC. In addition to being a Maryland lawyer, Brian is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). Brian was a member of the Board of Directors for the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland and served as Chair for two years. He has been active in both the MSBA (Young Lawyers Section) and the MACPA (Government Contracts Committee). He began his career in the tax department at Deloitte Haskins + Sells and was in the private practice of law for several years in Kensington, Maryland.
