Advocacy Director for Family Law
Amee Vora is the Director of Advocacy for Family Law at Maryland Legal Aid, where she provides litigation support, leads policy discussions, and ensures staff training. She graduated magna cum laude from Bryn Mawr College and earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was on the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law. Before joining Maryland Legal Aid, Amee served as a Senior Staff Attorney in the Domestic Violence/Family Law Unit of Legal Aid DC, representing domestic violence survivors and guiding parents through child support cases. During law school, she worked with low-income survivors of domestic violence, interned at Sanctuary for Families and Bread for the City, and received awards for her commitment to public interest and social justice. Amee also clerked for the Honorable Ann O’Regan Keary of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
